About Will Floyd

William Floyd holds a B.A. in Religion and History from Sarah Lawrence College, an M.A. in Theology from the Claremont School of Theology and is currently doctorate in Religion at Claremont. He teaches history, geography, economics, government, literature, English, writing, and religion. He also teaches PSAT, SAT, ACT, and GRE preparation and has particular expertise in college counseling, helping students find, and get accepted into the college that best suits them.

Mr. Floyd has worked as an Admissions Counselor at Sarah Lawrence College and as an independent college counselor. As a counselor, he helped students craft admissions essays and developed a series of practice tests for college admissions exams.

He says his greatest satisfaction is, “seeing the joy of a student who has been accepted into their dream school.”

As a teacher, he prides himself on his, “capability to understand a student’s struggles and his ability to find the way to help him overcome the challenges he faces.”

In addition to teaching and his studies, Mr. Floyd hosts a history podcast called, “What Happened Today.”
