COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Regents exam in Global History covers not only a vast amount of material but assess writing, reading and analysis skills as well. Students must not only master a wealth of content-based concepts such as dates, locations, names, and sequences of events, they must also develop skills to meaningfully analyze those facts and build arguments. TG’s Global history course delves into world history from the ancient civilizations through worldwide political and social movements until the 21st century. Students delve into the subject content while acquiring and practicing the test-taking skills they need to succeed on the exam. Each lesson also dedicates time to developing the analytical and writing skills required to complete the Document-Based and Thematic Essay questions.
